[가사]그토록 많은 비가 그토록 많은 비가 내렸구나 밤 사이 강물은 내 키만큼이나 불어나고 전에 없던 진흙무덤들이 산 아래 생겨났구나 풀과 나무들은 더 푸르러졌구나 집 잃은 자는 새 집을 지어야 하리라 그토록 많은 비가 내려 푸르른 힘을 몰고 어디론가 흘러갔구나 몸이 아파 누워 있는 내 머리맡에선 어느새 이 꽃이 지고 저 꽃이 피어났구나 그토록 많은 비가 내리는 동안 나는 떡갈나무 아래 선 채로 몸이 뜨거웠었다 무엇이 이곳을 지나 더 멀리 흘러갔는가 한번은 내 삶의 저편에서 무슨 일이 일어났는가 모든 것이 변했지만 또 하나도 변하지 않은 것이 있었다 그리고 한 번은 이보다 더 큰 떡갈나무가 밤에 비를 맞으며 내 안으로 걸어들어온 적이 있었다 그리하여 내 생각은 얼마나 더 깊어지고 떡갈나무는 얼마나 더 풍성해졌는가 길을 잃을 때면 달팽이의 뿔이 길을 가르쳐 주었다 때로는 빗방울이 때로는 나무 위의 낯선 새가 모두가 스승이었다 달팽이의 뿔이 가리키는 방향을 따라 나는 먼 나라 인도에도 다녀오고 그곳에선 거지와 도둑과 수도승들이 또 내게 길을 가르쳐 주었다 내가 병들어 갠지스 강가에 쓰러졌을 때 뱀 부리는 마술사가 나게 독을 먹여 삶이 한 폭의 환상임을 보여 주었다 그 이후 영원히 나는 입맛을 잃었다 그때 어떤 거대한 새가 날개를 펼치고 비 속을 날아갔었다 밤이었다 내가 불을 끄고 눕자 새의 날개가 내 집 지붕을 덮어 주었다 그리고 나서도 오랫동안 비가 내렸다. 나는 병이 더 깊어졌다. 그토록 많은 비가 내렸구나 밤 사이 강물은 내 키만큼이나 불어나고 전에 없던 진흙 무덤들이 산 아래 생겨났구나. 집 잃은 자는 새 집을 지어야 하리라 [Lyrics]So much rain It has rained so much Overnight, the river is as tall as my height The mud tombs that have never been before were created under the mountain.
